Wincenty Norblin (b. 1805, d. 1872) became active in Warsaw around 1831. He expanded his business continually, acquired other companies (Bros. Buch, T. Werner - Werner had married into the Norblin family) and in 1904 had 547 people working for him, who produced goods for ca. 1,3 million rubles. The company became a shareholding one at some time and was named “Norblin i Ska. NBW” (the NBW standing for Norblin-Buch-Werner). It existed at least until the German occupation of Poland in 1939. Norblin, as other Warsaw manufacturers, used to buy a lot of its products in unplated form from German companies, imported it into Poland and had it silverplated in its factory to sell it on the eastern markets.
