1825 m. pradėtos gaminti indai su „tekančio kobalto” ornamentu, angliškai vadinamu „flow blue“, kuris tapo populiariausiu puošybos motyvu  tarp Viktorijos laikų namų šeimininkių ir šiuolaikinių kolekcininkų. Išsiskleidusių mėlynų dažų poveikį lėmė arba netobula technologija, arba kalkių ir amoniako oksidai, kurie buvo dedami į krosnį kūrenant.

In 1883 two brothers, Alfred and Frederick Johnson, purchased a defunct pottery known as Charles Street Works in Hanley, England. By the end of the 1890’s Johnson Brothers may have been the largest earthenware manufacturer in the world. The „Savoy” Flow Blue China pattern, circa early 1900’s, has a wide border of medallions portraying three and four leaf clovers and scrolls, all with gold accents. The large central medallion with an open grill-work design also contains a large four leaf clover. The dinner plate measures 25 cm. across. Stamped „Savoy – ‘Crown Mark’ – Johnson Bros. – England”.
